Job posting check, Chrome extension
What the extension reads and keeps.
Page access
The extension reads the active tab only after you click its icon or its Read this job page button. It uses Chrome's temporary activeTab access and the extraction code bundled in the extension. It never reads pages in the background.
What is sent
When you run a check, the text of the posting is sent to https://salari.dev, where the 14 checks run. The text is checked and dropped; it is never stored. salari.dev keeps only the date of the check and which items came out missing.
What is stored in Chrome
- A random installation id, used to count your 3 free checks.
- A device token, only after you connect the extension to your access. Disconnect removes it.
Not collected
- No browsing history.
- No analytics or advertising id in the extension.
- No AI model: the checks are fixed rules.
- No sale or sharing of data.
Permissions
- activeTab: read the page you clicked the extension on.
- scripting: run the bundled extractor on that page.
- storage: keep the installation id and the device token.
- sidePanel: show the result beside the posting.
- salari.dev: the one site the extension talks to, to run the checks.
