Positive signals
This is an explainable compatibility estimate, not a score produced by every employer’s ATS. Hiring systems use different parsing and ranking rules.
Inspect the extracted text
What this review can tell you.
It checks extracted text and common CV signals. It cannot predict a recruiter's decision or reproduce every employer's ATS.
How the checks work
The review looks for readable text, contact information, familiar sections, contribution statements, measurable scope and overlap with recognized technical terms. The score adds up seven categories, from parseability to role fit, and each finding shows what it is based on. Qualitative achievements can be valuable too, and a status is a prompt to look, not a verdict.
Where your information goes
The file, its text, the target role and the job description stay in this browser, and closing the page clears them. A finished scan records that it happened and its score. When you ask for the result by email, the server keeps your address, the score and the check results for 30 days, then deletes them. Privacy

How an ATS reads your CV.
An applicant tracking system (ATS) stores every application a company receives. Most of them run a resume parser first: it turns your PDF into fields, such as name, contact details, each job with its dates and title, and a list of skills. Recruiters then search and filter those fields. When the parser misreads your CV, the recruiter is searching a record that is wrong, and you do not come up for skills you have.
Why a CV fails to parse
- Two columns. Many parsers read straight across the page, so a line from the sidebar lands in the middle of a job description.
- Text inside tables, text boxes, headers and footers. It is often skipped, and contact details placed in a header are the classic loss.
- Skills drawn as icons, logos or rating bars. There is no text behind them, so there is nothing to match.
- A PDF without a text layer. A scanned page, or an export that turned the text into an image, gives the parser nothing to read at all.
- Creative section names. "Where I have been" does not map to Experience, so the jobs under it may not be recognised as jobs.
An ATS resume format that works
- One column, top to bottom.
- Standard headings: Experience, Skills, Education.
- Each role with its title, company and dates on one line, in one date format across the whole CV.
- Contact details in the body of the page, not in the header.
- A PDF with real text. If you can select a sentence in it and copy it, a parser can usually read it too.
Keywords, without stuffing
Recruiters search the parsed fields with the words from the job description. If the role asks for Swift Concurrency and you shipped async/await and actors, name it the way the job does. That is the whole technique. A block of forty keywords at the bottom of the page may get you found, and it is the first thing the person who opens your CV reads as noise.
What a CV checker score can and cannot tell you
No checker reproduces every employer's ATS: each system parses a little differently, and many companies configure their own filters. The score here is an explainable estimate across seven categories, from parseability to role fit, and every finding says what it is based on. Use it to find what to fix before you send the CV, not as a pass mark.
After the parser, a person reads it
Passing the parser only gets the CV opened. From the hiring side of the table, the mobile CVs that earn a call show ownership and an outcome in the first line of each role: what you were responsible for, and what changed because of it. A list of duties reads the same for every candidate. That is the part this scan checks under evidence and experience, and the part The Silent Rejection covers in full.
